If Westerners were used to choose among hundreds of brands, in Romania people lived a totally different experience: there is one brand for each product.

Hence the importance these monobrands have had in the lives of those who made them, but also to those who used them. What happened to the fate of these brands, to the people around them and the industrial towns they supported? Is there life after death for socialist brands?
